For physician offices utilizing an Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system, the Rabkin Dermatopathology HL-7 formatted EMR interface offers an efficient way to automate specimen requisition ordering and results. This system saves staff time and effort while ensuring secure data transfer through SFTP, encryption, and password protection.
Our solution allows Healthcare Providers’ offices to import information directly from their EMR system and complete specimen requisition orders online. A corresponding pre-populated self-adhesive bottle label is printed along with the requisition. If needed, the labels can be regenerated by the office staff.
Rabkin Lab also provides flexibility in generating requisitions, offering both interface-generated and pre-printed (hard-copy) options. Pathology results can be delivered through the EMR, via fax, or as hard copies by mail.

Mail & Fax
For Healthcare Providers who prefer hard copies, reports can be provided via mail, fax, or a combination of both, in addition to our online reporting system (EMR). Melanoma diagnoses are automatically faxed upon completion, followed by a confirmation call to the referring Healthcare Provider’s office to ensure receipt and proper documentation.
Glass slides can also be shipped to the referring or treating physician upon request.
