Our dermatopathologists are highly trained, board-certified physicians with dual expertise in dermatology (the diagnosis and treatment of skin, hair, and nail diseases) and pathology (the microscopic identification of diseases). Serving Pittsburgh and Western Pennsylvania, we are committed to providing your physician with a definitive and accurate report to ensure they can continue delivering top-quality care. Our dermatopathologists are also available for consultations with referring physicians in the region, ensuring clear communication and addressing any concerns.



Milena E. Kozovska, M.D., Ph.D.
Dr. Milena Kozovska joined Rabkin Dermatopathology Laboratory in 2005 and has served as Medical Director since 2018. Dr. Kozovska earned her M.D. from the National Medical University in Kiev, Ukraine, and her Ph.D. from the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. She completed her residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX, followed by a fellowship in dermatopathology at Wake Forest University.
Dr. Kozovska is board-certified in both Anatomic and Clinical Pathology as well as Dermatopathology. She is a member of the American Society of Dermatopathology and the International Society of Dermatopathology and has published extensively. She frequently collaborates with physicians throughout Western Pennsylvania.



Saba M. Ali, M.D.
Dr. Saba M. Ali earned her medical degree from Northeast Ohio Medical University as part of a 6-year accelerated BS/MD program. She completed her dermatopathology fellowship at Wake Forest University and is board-certified in both dermatology and dermatopathology.
Dr. Ali is actively involved in teaching dermatology residents and is currently affiliated with educational programs in Pittsburgh. A member of the American Academy of Dermatology and the International Society of Dermatopathology, she has presented at national and international dermatopathology meetings.


Saba M. Ali, M.D.

Daniel Teague, M.D.
Dr. Daniel Teague completed his medical training at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine and went on to specialize in Surgical and Oncological Pathology before completing his dermatopathology fellowship at Wake Forest Medical Center. Dr. Teague has nearly a decade of experience in dermatopathology, having worked in both private and corporate laboratories.
Throughout his career, Dr. Teague has taught medical students and residents in dermatopathology across several states, and he now brings his expertise to the Western Pennsylvania region. When he’s not practicing, he enjoys spending time with his family, gardening, and coaching.

Christine Johnson
Histology Manager
Christine joined Rabkin Dermatopathology Laboratory in 1998 as a Medical Secretary. In 2001 Christine transferred to the Histology Department, and after an apprenticeship there, she happily took on responsibilities as a Histology Assistant and currently as the Histology Manager. Christine is working towards Certification with the ASCP.
